„Regarding My Many
Parallel Activities
For many years now I have been working together with a growing
number of people to develop a working model for a planetary
future without war. Solid social, ecological and technological
concepts have already been developed. These concepts are
to be assembled and developed further at selected places
on earth, in order to establish concrete pilot models for
a non-violent earth. This approach led to the creation of
the research settlement Tamera in Portugal in 1995, as well
as an international network for the establishment of healing
biotopes and peace villages all over the world. This constituted
research work in the scientific, social, sexual, spiritual
and artistic areas. The time that remained for artistic
activities was too short for doing continuous work. But
I hope to soon be able to switch to my parallel world and
to dedicate myself fully to the “Tao of art”.
In my life, there were three
topics that always belonged together and that was love,
art and
religion. I am not saying that my work already represents
what I see as the deepest meaning of art and what I will
be striving for during the coming years. Much so far occurred
only in my head, and I did not have the time to realize
it. This is especially true for a way of painting from a
state of connectedness, finding the sacred and the eternal
even in a little pebble. It is a kind of painting that comes
from opening up fully to the substance of the world, giving
it the brush in its hand so that it can consummate the transformation
that we are all journeying towards. Some of my paintings
and drawings have already been created in this way. The
essence of this type of art is the joy of reconnecting with
Creation. It is the reopening of the clogged channels through
which the force flowed through our ancestors, a force that
they needed to build stone circles and to answer the song
of the world through temples, worship and art.
In this sense I believe that art belongs to the foundations
of a new human culture.
We are an organ of Creation. The more I understand, the
less I follow a private will. This is true both in Eros
and in love.
What made Cézanne return, again and again, to paint
his mountain, Mont Saint Victoire? And Amadeo Modigliani:
what was he so in love with that he had to paint more or
less the same nudes again and again? Here, in nature as
well as in Eros and in the meeting of the sexes, there is
still a sense of magic that is infinite, unredeemed and
marvelous, and that will continue to seek us out until we
are ready to understand…

"There is the
world,
that we create,
and there is the world, That has created us.
These two worlds must come together.
That is the goal of the journey."
