HEALING BIOTOP I - TAMERA

The research project Tamera, founded in 1995 by Dieter Duhm (sociologist and psychoanalyst), Sabine Lichtenfels (theologian), Rainer Ehrenpreis (physicist) and others is situated in southwest Portugal, in the Alentejo region. Today more than 100 people work and live on the 134 hectare site of Tamera. The intention is to build a model for a nonviolent culture.

Tamera has following work departments:

   
The Institute for Global Peacework – political networking – peace work in crisis areas, especially in Israel/Palestine (www.prvme.org (Peace Research Village Middle East)), Columbia (www.sos-sanjose.org) and India
Ecology – reforestation – permaculture – campus of the EDE (Ecovillage Design Education)
The Experiment Monte Cerro, University and education in Tamera
School for Global Learning
The Children's Centre
The Pilgrims Hostel
